Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and the Word.

Both parents and godparents must attend the Baptism Preparation Class or have attended the Baptism Preparation Class within 2 years of the baptism date. Contact the Religious Education Office at 972-778-0328 to register for the Baptism Preparation Class.

Unless noted otherwise, classes are held in the St. Theresa Room (Kamel Life Center),  1:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday afternoons.

Please call the Religious Education Office at 972-778.0328 to schedule a baptism at least two – three weeks in advance of the desired baptism date.

Parents must complete and submit the Baptismal Registration Form / Family Information along with a copy of the child’s birth certificate when scheduling the baptism.

Godparents must complete and submit the Godparent Information Form at least one week prior to the scheduled baptism. At least one must be a practicing Catholic and provide an original Certificate/Letter of Good Standing, with the parish seal, from their parish along with the Godparent Information Form.
